Something to think.......

Hi All this is my first blog, u can even call me a fresher in blogging. So please bear with the language, sentence framing and mokkais.
Since it is a first blog i wanted to tweek your mind(Please bear).

Everytime when we hear some news eg:floods, disaster, terror attacks,etc... We just hear it as a news. Going deeper into the thought, we are just taking that news into our mind only. We just regret for the thing happened and we will start running to chase our dreams. But when it comes to us, we will started feeling the pressure. At that time only we are taking our problems to our heart. Please dont think that i am advicing u to take all that happened in earth to your heart. I just want everyone to get into their shoes to realize the situation, learn from the situation and plan for the future. Also i can tell another example if a neighbour is getting a severe heart challenge, we will adjust into the comfort zone that it came to the neighbour. At this point we are totally ignoring the fact that we are also a neighbour to his house.

The ignites behind the blog are flood in chennai, terror attack in mumbai and some personal challenges.

Nice writing and thought provoking post Balan. What I understand from your post is that we should not get satisfied that we don't have the problems our neighbor is having. We should prepare ourselves to avoid or handle the misfortune, if we have to face it tomorrow.

Every species in this world has a mechanism of adapting to a challenging environment by mutation. But this mutation happens very slowly (takes millions of years). When the challenge develops faster than the mutation process, the particular species becomes extinct. This is the point where humans differ from all other species in the world. We have the intelligence to change our challenging environment to our convenience. Without fire we couldn't have survived the carnivorous animals. Without farming we couldn't have supported the exploding population. Without clothing we couldn't have survived heavy weather conditions.

Apart from all these things how we differ from other species is that we create cultures. We can organize things in a higher intellectual order (ants also organized but it is in their gene, not in their brain). Simply we help each other. Our parents help and support us even after we become parents. I don't think any other species do that.

Coming to the core of what Balan says: There is a story, one person walks along a sea shore. He picks up and throws the shellfishes into the sea. One man asks him, "There are thousand of shellfish out there out of water and dying. You can't save them all.". Then this man replies, "I can't save them all. It's not going make any difference in the whole population of these shellfishes. But for the one's I've thrown inside, it makes a difference for them". We can not help all the poor people, but the one's we help, their life is not going to be the same again.

Wow that was really a thought provoking post. I'll post this comment in my blog also. ;)
